Chances are you are a broke college student just looking to get by. I know the struggle. Actually, there are many companies that know of the struggle and want to lend a helping hand to college students for trying out their products and services. Thus, I have compiled a list of five no-brainer student freebies and discounts that should come in handy that every college student should know about. All that is required to redeem these college student discounts and freebies is an .EDU email.

1. GitHub Student Developer Pack

GitHub has made partnered with over 15+ companies and compiled them into a package for prospective students who aspire to become developers. Anyone with a school email can redeem the pack. I highly recommend anyone looking to get into technology to redeem the offer because the free credits for web hosting, development, and training may come in handy later down the road. You never know when you might be coding too!

2. Amazon Prime Student

Amazon Prime Student’s free 6-months of Amazon Prime and discounted rate for membership is too good to pass up. The two-day shipping offer makes Amazon’s offer a must for any college student that needs to purchase anything on a whim.

3. Microsoft Office 365 Student

I only recently found out about this offer, but Microsoft is now joining in on the fray to appeal to college students. Yes, you heard it right. Microsoft Office 365 is completely free for college students that are enrolled in an accredited university.

4. Spotify Student

Spotify Student splits the price of Spotify premium in half. Not only that, Spotify Student gives students free access to Hulu. With the discounted rate, you get both Hulu and Spotify Premium for the price of $4.99/month.

5. T-Mobile Advantage Program

A number of organizations and universities are eligible for discounts and perks from T-Mobile by entering your organization email. Check to see if you qualify for discounted rates from one of the leading carriers in the USA.

All in all, I hope you take advantage of these student freebies and discounts. I have personally taken advantage of most of these offers and have nothing but good things to say about them. I truly believe that what these companies are doing are smart because they are investing in their products early to career driven individuals who will payback dividends in the later stages of their career.
